Abartium Estudio & Galería de Arte (Barcelona) has organized the exhibition ‘Colectiva Contemporánea’, in which the professor of the Drawing Area of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) of Elche Pilar Viviente participates with her work Rodetes. This exhibition, curated by Eva Cunill, will remain open to the public until February 12.
In addition to the UMH professor, artists such as Javier Aoiz Orduna, J. L. Arce, Rafaela Gómez-Casero, Patricia Parra, Emme Pons, Enrique Porta, Salvinoblanco and Bea Zerolo participate in the collective exhibition. In her work, Pilar Viviente exposes the Rodetes in reference to ‘La Dama de Elche’ that bring liberation through repetition, either visually or soundly. The UMH professor Pilar Viviente refers to cosmic consciousness and archaeological themes, mythical and universal patterns under the surface, related to an artistic investigation of light and color.
Specifically, the UMH professor presents a total of six framed works, exhibited as an installation, where each independent Rodete and the whole, the visual unit of the sum of the parts (the six Rodetes), are formally articulated and create a ‘chromatic counterpoint’. According to Professor Pilar Viviente, “with this term we want to designate the artistic expression that integrates the musical structure of counterpoint in the visual composition”.
