19 November 2021
The Living Culture Center of the city of Jeongeup (South Korea) hosts until November 25 the Mosaic of Rodetes by the professor of the Drawing Area of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) of Elche Pilar Viviente. Professor Viviente’s work consists of painting and computer graphics on paper (106 x 106 cm) and is part of the Haegeumgang Theme Museum Collection.
The Mosaic, inspired by the ornament on each side of the head of the Iberian bust ‘La Dama de Elche’, is exhibited as a symbol of peace between cultures. According to the UMH professor Pilar Viviente, “I attribute to the bun, by virtue of the design of its structure, an intercultural meaning that connects different continents and civilizations, some of them disappeared, thus becoming in the 21st century a symbol of Peace between cultures. ”.
The Haegeumgang Geoje Theme Museum opened an international exhibition in Jeongeup on November 1 as part of the tour schedule for the 7th International Geoje Art Festival. The international exhibition in Jeongeup selects and displays a total of 80 works.
